Since I have owned many machines over the years I have come to a point where I will not buy another machine that does not have some sort of bonus feature such as an LCD, LED or 4th wheel. I feel that machines that do not have such a feature do not play as well in the home. In a real parlor environment it might be a different story as you might want the wins over cool gameplay, although I do tend to play machines with bonus features even in the casinos here in the US.
A top ten...hmmm
Bottom 5 (In no particular order)
Honorable mention
Double Challenge. This was my first machine and it was so much fun to play. If I had gotten one of the dogs for my first machine then this hobby would never had taken off the way it has. While it didn't make my top ten it ranks right up there.
A top ten...hmmm
Machine Name | Reason |
Beast Sapp | This machine has a great game play |
Spin Luck | The most sought after machine. It has always brought in high dollar amounts and once I owned it I understood. I large "wheel of fortune" type reel at the top really works. |
Sindbad Adventure | Although it is not as cool as Beast Sapp it is still a lot of fun to play. |
Destroyer | From the multicolor back lit black reels to the D-RUSH bonus game this machine is a ton of fun to play. |
Derby Rush | The sounds and light show during a bonus game really make this machine stand out. The theme is cute with a little horse competing with some stallions. |
Sakurafabuki | While it may not have all the bells and whistles of some of the newer machines the 4th wheel does add so much to the play. Especially when the guy is laughing at you. The 4th wheel just doesn't spin and you win. They use it to tell a story so it moves back and forth between spots. |
Azteca Legend | Great Gameplay make this machine a lot of fun to play. |
Golgo 13 | This machine is another older model but when Golgo is talking to you in Japanese with a Russian accent it is really cool. |
King Camel | I am not too keen about the normal game play sounds. For some reason they kind of get on my nerves, but the bonus music and game play more than make up for this. This is the only machine I have seen that makes the large reels spin forward, backward, go slow, and slip. So much fun to play. |
Lion King | Although this machine was so loud when I got it that it hurt my ears I didn't play it as much. Once I installed some volume controls I found that the LCD screen and game play was so much fun that I couldn't stop. |
Machine Name | Reason |
Tatsujin | This machine just didn't make any sense. Not sure what the bonus lights at the top were supposed to mean. They very rarely came into play. They could of done so much more with this. |
Marine Carnival | This machine had a weird bonus game. As long as you stopped the reels they way they told you to you would win the maximum payout. No skill so it got old real quick. |
Twenty Seven | 27 lines...how could you go wrong. Well, they did. It is a Type-C machine and it only had a regular bonus. No skill, no fun. |
Twist | People praised this machine so I had to have one. After I got it I wondered what they were talking about. ooooohhh, a red flashing light. Yawn. |
Arraking | Just exactly what is that little pachinko ball at the top supposed to do? |
